Update on Haiti/March 2, 2016

Our Rosary Making has been a bit ‘on hold’ for a couple of months because of some temporary problems for our Serve Haiti partners, which have kept them from being able to go to Haiti this January.  One of their buses was stopped by some armed men who then beat up the bus driver.  They were eventually run off by some of the volunteers on the bus. The bus driver was sent to the hospital, but thankfully did not have any serious injuries.  There is also some basic civil unrest because of election issues. Therefore, the people in charge put the Mission on hold temporarily,  but are returning this weekend to assess the situation and see if it is safe for volunteers to return soon.

One of our contacts from Serve Haiti is planning to travel there this weekend, March 4th and 5th.  She is going to take some Rosary supplies with her for our small, but growing “Rosary Factory.”  We donate both the materials and the salaries that are paid to the workers, and our contacts from Serve Haiti then bring back the Rosaries and cases that were made there.  Most of the Rosaries are then sent to Lighthouse Catholic Media for free distribution to Military bases and Personnel all over the World.

We are distributing our Rosaries to the Military as the “Weapons of Peace” that Our Lady of Fatima recommended in 1917 and St. Padre Pio reiterated when he called the Rosary, “…the Weapon of our times…”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to any and all who have donated to this cause for Peace in our troubled World.  Please let us know if you would like to become one of our Corporate Donors, which simply means that you can donate $1000.00 or more every year.  However, we appreciate all donations, no matter how small or large they may be.

We have just added the capability of donating online through PayPal, which will hopefully make donating for many people much easier.  Please feel free to leave a note telling us who you are, where you are from and how you learned about the Holy Land Military Rosary.

May God Hold You in the Hollow of His Hand!
